As Chief Product Officer for Sonos, Maxime Bouvat-Merlin leads our global Product organization, as well as our Operations teams, responsible for creating and developing all Sonos products across our rapidly growing portfolio of Hardware, Software and Services. Prior to assuming the role of Chief Product Officer, Maxime was Senior Vice President of Hardware & Operations from June 2020 until April 2023 where he led the launch of Roam, Ray, Sub Mini and most recently industry leading Era 100 and Era 300.
Maxime joined Sonos as Vice President of Hardware in 2016 and was instrumental in the launch of some of the company’s most successful products including Sonos One, Beam, SYMFONISK (joint development with IKEA), Move and Arc and he led our effort to increase product development velocity, enabling Sonos to ship at least 2 new product per year.
Prior to joining Sonos, Maxime held executive roles at distinguished technology companies such as Quicklogic, Qualcomm-Atheros, Broadcom Corp., and Texas Instruments where he developed a strong background in semiconductors (chip development, embedded software, architecture) as well as business development, strategic planning and product development.
Maxime holds a Bachelor of Science in applied physics from the Faculte de Luminy in Marseille, France, where he graduated with honors, as well as a Master degree in computer sciences from ESINSA in Nice, France.
